HLS Scoops Best PR-Tech Campaign 2018 for SAP Arica

Tech is cool and we’ve got the awards to prove it! Earlier this month HLS scooped Best Technology Campaign at the PR PRISM Awards.

The Bronze award follows the agency’s second PR Industry accolade for Best Pan-African Campaign 2017. Nominated on behalf of HLS global client, SAP Africa for their Africa Code Week CSR initiative, agency Head Honcho, Adam Hunter, fulfilled the role of Programme Communications Manager by supporting the global team with Pan-African marketing and media relations for Africa’s biggest digital skills initiative. The 2018 programme produced ambitious results and empowered more than 2,4m youth across 36 African countries during the month of October.

The 9 month SAP initiative introduces African children aged 7-16 years to basic coding skills and is translated into Portuguese and French for the Franco and Lusophone regions. Adam Hunter adds, “Africa Code Week (ACW) is one of our favourite annual campaigns and we are privileged to work on such a heart-warming and purpose driven programme since 2016. The SAP CSR team and implementing partners are an incredibly talented team of professionals from across the globe and each year we are taking massive strides in supporting the programme with Government adoption into school curriculums while helping to conquer Africa’s digital divide”.
